In Tomball, Texas, crime fighting is taken to new heights: The Sheriffs of the Tomball Police Department now serve law and order from the air. Being selected from a nationwide candidate pool, the Tomball Police Department will be the first American public safety agency to utilize an AutoGyro MTOsport in law enforcement aviation. Already in November 2010, our gyroplane has passed a multilevel selection and was chosen out of numerous competitors by the Department of Justice. In the Texan city, traffic and criminal acitvities will from now on be monitored with the help of the MTOsport. But also search and rescue missions, holiday parades or critical infrastructures such as schools or medical complexes may now easily be surveyed from above. As Chief Robert S. Hauck states, the Tomball Police Department is happy about their new gyroplane "Made in Germany". "The use of this type of aircraft is not novel. The novelty lies in the bringing of best practices from Europe to the United States", says Hauck. "This is an exciting opportunity for the City of Tomball to positively impact public safety in our community and the surrounding areas, but moreover, this is an opportunity for us to make significant contributions to law enforcement nationwide."
